Tournament Series Criteria
What is expected of tournament organisers
Any TOs are welcome to put forward events to run as part of the series. Each series will have its own deadlines for submitting events to be part of the series.
To be included, a tournament organiser must request their event to be included in the series. In addition, the following rules apply (individual exceptions may be made where appropriate):
Must be (vaguely) located in the South-West of England*
All SWTS events must be Blood Bowl 11s tournaments using the latest BB2020 rules.
All SWTS events must be NAF-approved.
Maximum 2 Series events in any calendar month; at least 2 weeks apart.
Maximum 15 Series events in any 12-month period.
Cannot be part of any other organised Tournament Series,
* The boundary of which, for these purposes, stretches roughly from Southampton to Oxford to Cheltenham, encompassing all of Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon and Cornwall; as well as ill-defined swathes of Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, Berkshire, etc. as the situation demands).
To be clear, individual tournaments will have their own unique rulesets, and the SWTS has no control over these.
Date Range
All series will run from 1st January 2025 to 31st December 2025.
The exact date of each event does not need to be confirmed when requesting an event to run in the series, although obviously it will assist in the series admin if dates are finalised as early as possible.
All events should have a capacity of 24 coaches or more.
All series will allow Blood Bowl 2020 events to be part of the series. Variant events may be allowed but this is at the discretion of each TSO.
We expect Tournament Organisers to:
To have each event submitted for NAF approval asap (ideally before 1 Jan 2025 but we are very aware this is often not feasible).
Advise the TSO as and when the date and venue is finalised.
To provide the TSO with full details of final standings as well as either races used or at a minimum identifying which coaches played a stunty race. Once the scoring software has been finalised, we may have requirements for the best way to share these scores with us.
To include that the event is part of the relevant series when advertising it
To be awesome to each other (eg promote other events, encourage attendance at other events etc).
To upload results to the NAF in a timely manner.
To let the TSO know asap if there are any issues.
